The folk musical ‘Kountry Girls’ is by Ken Murchison, Andy Clendenen and Sonny Franks. This world premiere production is directed by Kerry Cole. It is a heartwarming tale of loves lost and found.

The stage is transformed to Mama’s Kountry Cafe where musicians play traditional folk, bluegrass and country tunes. Each actor is fluent in at least one musical instrument. The story unfolds through musical dialogue.

Playwright Sonny Franks says the essence of the musical boils down to “the adventures of a single mom raising two teenage girls in a small town in Texas.”

This folk musical is for folks of all ages. Kountry Girls will tempt you from the moment you take a seat. Don’t be surprised if someone takes your order for some homemade apple pie! Truly, they are inviting you in for a new slice of life. Tap your toe, sing along and watch as the story of Katy and her daughters, May and Dee Dee unveils an entertaining musical experience.
